Mother Nature hasn’t been kind to the series between the Detroit Tigers and host New York Mets.The teams played their scheduled series opener on Monday, with Tuesday’s game rained out. Wednesday’s contest was put on ice for the same reason. The Tigers and Mets will play a single-admission doubleheader on Thursday, beginning at 12:10 p.m. ET tp make up the two lost games.The teams aren’t scheduled to meet again this season aside from the current series.Tuesday’s scheduled starters, right-handers Casey Mize for the Tigers and Adrian Houser for the Mets, were slated to pitch on Wednesday night before that game was postponed. It is not immediately known if they will pitch in either game of the doubleheader on Thursday.
