Detroit starter Ivan Nova lasted 5 2/3 innings, giving up two runs on eight hits with three strikeouts.The Royals scored a run in the first on Soler’s double and Ryan O’Hearn’s two-out single. The Tigers tied it on Cabrera’s second homer of the season, an opposite-field shot which snuck inside the foul pole.Kansas City regained the advantage in the second on Gordon’s leadoff double and Franchy Cordero’s single.
